In the Farankaraina Forest of northern #Madagascar, conservation happens step by step, on the ground, led by the people who call it home. 🌿
The GLFx Farankaraina chapter and local community associations patrol up to 12 km through the forest—tracking #wildlife, checking on native tree plantings, reporting illegal activity, and supporting natural regeneration.
Their work protects one of the last lowland #rainforests on Antongil Bay, home to lemurs, chameleons and nearly 100 bird species. 🐒🦎🕊️
What we saw: dedication, collaboration and deep respect for the land.
This is community-led restoration in action.
