The WaterInnEU Marketplace is a newly launched match making hub that has been established to accelerate the market translation of products and services of specific relevance to River Basin Management. The Marketplace directly supports innovations from across Europe that have been previously funded by the EU, but still need to achieve market adoption. Its role is to raise awareness amongst River Basin Managers, their supply chains and stakeholders regarding the availability of potentially relevant new products, and to facilitate introductions with their owners.
The WaterInnEU Marketplace thus actively screens the most relevant products and services for River Basin Managers and accelerates their uptake through targeted dissemination and support services. It provides access to a combination of commercial and open source technologies and models, both fully available and near-to-market (with developers seeking collaborators for market deployment), and best practice guidance.

WaterInnEU is a H2020 European funded project addressing the lack of use and applicability of research outcomes in the water management market from a different point of view and offering an innovative and commercially driven solution. The new perspective comes from the assumption that the lack of application is not only due to the lack of knowledge and awareness about the outcomes and the results of research projects about water, but also to the lack of an appropriate and credible vehicle for accessing these solutions in a form that best fits the needs of the stakeholders and the associated supply chain.
