In past years, the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) has held conferences in cities around the globe, from Jakarta to Paris to Accra, physically going to meet its widespread audiences in situ with its mix of science and inspiration in addressing the climate crisis.
But on 3–5 June 2020, the GLF updated its means of globetrotting by hosting its first fully-online conference, GLF Bonn Digital Conference 2020: Food in the time of crises. While this proved exceptionally timely due to COVID-19, the digital event was already in the process of being planned months before the pandemic hit, in an attempt to be more accessible, inclusive and climate-friendly than any of its events before.
While the number crunching on reduced emissions is still ongoing, here’s how it did on the other goals, with numbers continuing to grow:
