One of the most vital events of its kind will draw more than 1,000 participants — government ministers, global experts, policy makers and business leaders — to the University of Warsaw this weekend to chart a new course toward joint solutions for forests, agriculture and climate change.
Media are invited to seize this opportunity for access to the world’s leading thinkers and practitioners on sustainable landscapes, climate change, agriculture and forestry. Participants at the Global Landscapes Forum will seek to devise solutions for one of the most pressing challenges of our time: Can we grow enough food for 9 billion people without destroying the planet’s forests and accelerating climate change?
This event represents the most intensive effort yet to place these themes on the global agenda as a single “landscape” concept, and to link this concept to the Sustainable Development Goals.
