Guillermina has been an independent science writer for more than 10 years. She developed the Science Communication Strategy at the Institute of Ecology (Instituto de Ecología AC) in 2011 and has also been a science officer at ICSU ROLAC, a project analyst/manager at CONABIO, an environmental educator at CONANP and an independent consultant. She has a Biology degree (UNAM, México), a Diploma Course in science communication (UNAM, Mexico), and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in biological sciences (University of Liverpool, UK). She now lives in Mexico City, where she juggles work as an independent consultant, a wordsmith, a metalsmith and playing with her dog at the park.
Guillermina ha sido escritora científica independiente por más de diez años. Ella desarrolló la Estrategia de Comunicación Científica en el Instituto de Ecología AC en 2011 y también ha sido oficial de ciencia en ICSU ROLAC, analista / gerente de proyectos en CONABIO, educadora ambiental en CONANP y consultora independiente. Estudió Biología (UNAM, México), un Diplomado en Comunicación de la Ciencia (UNAM, México), y una maestría y un doctorado en Ciencias Biológicas (Universidad de Liverpool, Reino Unido). Ahora vive en la ciudad de México donde hace malabarismos para ser consultora independiente, escritora, orfebre y jugar con su perro en el parque.
