⛰️ Growing up surrounded by lush mountains and seas, Javie Barcinal had always felt the presence of nature’s bounty around him & his community.

“Biodiversity is our lifeline, but times are changing.” Climate injustice and landscape degradation have put the livelihoods of many frontline communities at risk, which led Javie and the team at Dulungan Youth to champion locally-led conservation and restoration projects in Antique, his home province in the Philippines.

“A healthy planet starts with healthy communities protecting their own #biodiversity,” highlights Javie, who is one of this year’s Restoration Stewards for #forests 🌱.
