GLF Climate 2022, a hybrid conference that gathered hundreds of inspiring speakers and thousands of participants from across the world, has wrapped up after running for two days alongside COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, as well as online.
The conference, hosted by the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) gave stage to keynotes, discussions, plenaries, networking, exhibitions and more, which are broken down by the numbers below. There were 6779 participants from 164 countries, with the top ten countries, by the number of participants being:
Looking at all attendees, 36 percent identified as female while 48 percent identified as male, but this moved to an almost 50/50 split between male and female for in-person attendees (48 and 46 percent respectively).
What's more, over 70 percent of all participants were under the age of 35.
There were 228 speakers, more than half of whom were women.
The majority of speakers were from Africa followed by Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and North America.
